During 1996, the Board of the ICM decided to start the first
official ICM Bursary Fund. The ICM deposited some of the
reserves built up, together with donations received from
KreditInform and Information Trust Corporation, into the ICM
Bursary Fund. The rules of the fund state that only the
interest received on the fund may be used to aid students to
study in the discipline of credit. Students wishing to apply
for help from the fund must apply in writing to: "The Board
of the ICM". The Director Education will then decide which
of the applicants qualify for help and make the necessary
recommendation to the Board. The Board's decision will be
final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Frank Constable and Mike Helen Bursaries were set up by
KreditInform, in memory of two of the great names in credit
management. These awards are made on a yearly basis. The
Board of the ICM receives the applications, the Director
Education will then identify the two most needy students in
the field of credit management, and these two students will
receive the bursaries.
The Credit Guarantee Insurance Corporation Student Bursaries
Fund. On a yearly basis, Credit Guarantee makes available
funds for bursaries for students studying credit management.
The Board of the ICM receives the applications, the Director
Education will then forward the applications to CGIC and
their Bursary Committee will decide on the applications and
the students will receive the bursaries.
Credit Guarantee is prepared to fund the full qualification
providing the student’s academic record is satisfactory.
